Oliver Mao is an associate lawyer with Borders Law Firm, practicing in Canadian Immigration Law. He has experience representing clients on Canadian and US immigration matters before Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, Employment and Social Development Canada, the Federal Court of Canada, the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada, and US Citizenship and Immigration Services. He has worked on a diverse range of matters including Labour Market Impact Assessments, Intra-Company Transfers, permanent residence applications, provincial nominee applications, work and study permits, as well as NAFTA-based permits and L-visas to the US. Oliver has also advocated on behalf of clients before the Federal Court of Canada and the Canada Border Services Agency.
Oliver completed his articles with Borders Law Firm, joining the firm as an associate in 2016. He is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian and Ontario Bar Associations, and the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers. He holds a Combined Honours Bachelor of Arts and Science and Psychology Degree from McMaster University’s Arts and Science Program, and a Juris Doctor (JD) from the University of Toronto.
